Terry the barber

I was visiting with my cousin, Caroline, a while back when we saw this sign in a Barber Shop. It got me thinking about planning.

I always seem to be in a hurry and rushing from one event or project to another.  Being in the moment is not where I spend a lot of my time!

However, looking at this sign, I figure Terry the Barber is someone who makes his own rules and has figured out what’s important to him. He schedules his time so he can be better at planning ahead.

Here are the FOUR life lessons I learned from the simple sign posted in Terry the Barber's front door:

1.    Work to live, don’t live to work!

        CHECK – What’s not to like about a 3-day work week?

2.    Take time for yourself.

        CHECK – 4 days off work in a row…every single week!

3.    Avoid guilt.

 CHECK – Everyone in town knows when Terry’s at work…it’s posted!

4.    Pace yourself…

 CHECK - Work from at 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Then, take time for yourself!

These are great lessons… I’m going to start planning my work and working my plan!

Thanks Terry!
