Heather Griffith: Co-owner of Downsizing Diva Durham.
Making a difference in someone else’s life has been a personal focus of Heather’s since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. Co-founding the Gala of Hope with her sister Robin, a fellow Diva, she and her family raised over $1.2 M and opened a state-of-the-art breast assessment centre at Lakeridge Health Oshawa which they named The Heather Griffith Breast Assessment Centre. Nicole, Co-owner of Downsizing Diva Durham was instrumental in the development of merchandise that was sold to help achieve their goals.
Prior to becoming a Diva, Heather worked for Sears as Director of Parts until the doors shuttered in 2018. Over five years ago Heather welcomed the opportunity to work for Downsizing Diva Durham. Since then, Heather has supported her clients with kindness, patience, and understanding, helping to make a difference in their lives as they transition in their own.
In addition to managing Downsizing Diva Durham, Heather spends her spare time volunteering for seniors in the community and raising funds for Breast Cancer, MS and CAMH.
In 2007 Heather was nominated for the 23rd Annual Durham YWCA Women of Distinction Awards for her volunteer work for the Gala of Hope and was focused in multiple Oshawa Hospital Foundation Vigour magazines. Heather and Robin were also recognized for ‘Making a Difference’ in a National Post CityLife full page article. Author Debbie Holloway wrote “It’s true, one person can make a difference!”

Nicole specializes in helping seniors and their families navigate the process of downsizing and relocating with care and ease. Recognizing that moving often involves a lifetime of memories, Nicole is dedicated to making the transition as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Understanding the unique needs of each client, Nicole provides personalized support and guidance during what can be an emotional and challenging time. Nicole takes pride in helping seniors and their families embrace the next chapter of their lives with confidence and peace of mind.
When not managing her business, Nicole enjoys hiking with her dogs and supporting local charities in Durham Region.

For seniors who have decided to downsize, Downsizing Diva, is there for you. Three capable Divas under the leadership of a fourth Diva Charlene are there to help you; they do all the packing for you, help you to decide what furniture to take and what not to take to your new place. The items you are not taking, they will sell at an in-house auction. On the day of your move their moving company transports your furniture to your new home. Under the Diva’s direction, they place your furniture, as closely matched to your old home as possible, to make you feel comfortable and at home in your new place. The Divas unpack all the boxes, place everything in the appropriate spot, and then take away the empty boxes. When we walked in the doors of our new place, everything was in place as if we had been living there all along. Everything is in order when you move into your new home. It is such a relief on a busy, tiring and emotional moving day. During the time that you work with the divas they are always there for you both before and after your move. On the phone or in person. Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value My 91-year-old sister was overwhelmed by the need to organize her belongings and figure out what to keep for her move to a small apartment. Enter Durham’s awesome team from Downsizing Diva and in no time at all my sister was happy and grateful for the way the team was making the move so much easier for her. When she arrived at her new home, she was delighted to find everything in its place and even her bedside table had all her personal items in the same place they were before. Even the kitchen cupboards were organized, and her dishes were placed in the same location as before, so she was able to ease into her new home.
